22 Performers Infected with HIV since 2004
Wow, this is really sad. I am not shocked in any way but just feel horrible for the ones that have been infected. This is the very reason why I went to condom-only work if I ever worked with a guy. People ask me all the time why I don’t do more boy/girl scenes and this is why. They say it kills the fantasy to see the condoms on film but when the performers start getting sick with a disease that will kill them, it kills the fantasy. It becomes a hard reality. Be safe everyone.

I have been trying to figure out how to comment on this, but there is no other way. Just be you, but be safe as you can. You make a comment in your book, you do all the tests, but at the sametime, you’ll never know who did what with whom, the night before the shoot.
June 17th, 2009 at 8:19 pmI am surprised no one made a comment on this yet.
That’s correct Kevin, the tests are only as good as the day you take them. Its a scary thought. I am only doing BDSM and g/g scenes now for my own work.
Boy/Girl scenes have always been scary in that way for me. I just don’t want to get sick. Its not worth it.
I think many people might want to comment but not really sure what to say.
June 18th, 2009 at 9:43 amHi Sarah, Hard for me to comment on this also. I did hear about this several yrs ago, and it was a big number and us fans dont want anything happing to u and your work is very important and i think is probably the reason more and more performers are doing more solo projects instead of studio projects in the last few years. Being there own boss they can choose there own projects and pick there own people to work with like jenna jameson, jill kelly, have there own production companies and jenna haze has her own production company. Testing is great and u can stay safe, pick the people to work with, and stay safe. I hope u like being ur own boss instead of answering to a big studio Sarah, and stay safe Sarah and continue to make us fans happy.
June 18th, 2009 at 8:46 pmIt’s nice to see someone that else commented on this. I do understand about not commenting on this topic. I almost over looked it, because it’s not fun talking about the aids part. It’s more fun seeing the girls get banged (seeing their reactions, hearing them moan, and seeing their pussy/pelvis get stretched wided open.
June 19th, 2009 at 1:46 pmI would like to say that this is my favorite blog entry. I think it takes great character to talk about something this important, even if it is unglamorous. I really like the use of irony in the “killing the fantasy” factor. Adult Entertainment is an art form, though like anything else; can be dangerous when safety is compromised.
Kevin, I really like your comments. Sadly in the blog world, it is the more meaningful entries that often get ignored. In my own blog, the more shallow silly entries have the most comments.
Sarah this is awesome!!!
July 1st, 2009 at 9:24 pmThank Max.
What kind of of website do you run, or are you talking about the blogs you post on this site?
