I get many emails about what my life is like and how I live so here is my day usually:
The cat wakes me up before the alarm does. She is a shit and has found something to rattle. I roll over, grumble, stretch and ask her just what the fuck she thinks she is doing. She replies with a series of meows not unlike the beloved meow mix commercial. She jumps on the bed and looks lovingly in my eyes before she bites my hand for the fist time that day. Roxie is my rescue bengal cat and she tests who is boss daily.
I stumble downstairs to the coffee maker and my mom is usually already awake and wanting to tell me about the weather. I nod, grumble as she is still speaking and start my coffee. The dogs are usually outside but when they hear me they come running and bouncing around my feet like little tennis balls craving attention. I reach down and pet them and try to prevent one from landing on the other as they still jump around.
Once the coffee is done I get online and start checking emails. I clear up any issues with memberships, lost passwords, directing fans to which website does what and then I go on to delete the hate-g ya’ll a seat in hell beside me. The cursing mail: how original, not! The sad mail: they feel sorry for me when they have time to whine that much?(get a damn life) Now, 10 times more often I get the sweetest fanmail from soldiers in Iraq to the small town guys and girls that grew up in places like I did. They make me smile, make me laugh, and sometimes the sad stories make me teary but its all good and I always love hearing from all of you!
Then I go on the social circuit of twitter, myspace and facebook to add friends, answer more messages and post a few things here and there, sometimes a blog, sometimes a pic, always a comment. I then log into my store and print any ordered that have come in and email the customers to let them know when they can expect their order or answer any questions.
After the messages, I go on to log into my CMS(content management system) to see how far the sites are updates. I am in the process now of getting 10 more websites online plus there is all the things I want to do with the current 4 that I’m a bit overwhelmed but taking it one step at a time. I sort and edit content.
That is pretty much my typical morning is there are no disasters, or if I’m not traveling around to some convention, shoot, or event. My days will change as I start hiring talent to shoot again and all that comes with having talent around
Yes, this is everyday. I don’t really take time off. Its just routine for me to stay busy and work. I rarely take a morning off or a day off, especially since I am feeling better again. Those 3 months were hell and I don’t want to ever be down like that again.
That’s my morning!
