Whew, what a week, and I’m glad the weekend is almost here. What am I saying? I work on the weekends too! Anyhow here are the highlights of my week.

Monday: I went to look at houses. My buyers-agent is super kewl. She lives in OC so her super-key didn’t work to see most of the properties. I got to see one though and we scheduled some time on Sunday to see the rest. What I saw surprised me. I went to look at a penthouse, which in the ad, had no mention of needing any work but has been on the market for about 5 months. In Cali, that a considerable amount of time. We went in and the building is gorgeous, has a great pool, and common area. Then we saw the penthouse. The guy selling the place said that it needed paint and new carpet. Well, that wasn’t quite the truth. It needed some serious updating. New everything would be a closer account. It was right out of the 60’s, when the building was built. I know how to do quite a bit of remodeling but I’m not sure if I want to take on a project of this size with my schedule. It would take about 20 g’s to get it all updated and up to par with what I am wanting for my own place. There are 2 other penthouses for sale in the same building, which cost more but are most likely in better shape. There is a dilemma though. I could get this fixer-upper penthouse and fix it up, bringing up the value of the property considerably if I happen to want to sell later. Or…

The home inspection went well. There were only a few little things that the inspector found that needed to be fixed. I had an urge to ask if he had go-go gadjets but decided against my dorkiness. That took about 3 hours but I met the gal selling the House. She was really sweet. I complimented her work and choice of color when she decorated. There isn’t much that I will change in the new place except new appliances-stainless riles. And of course changing the color of my room. I cannot exist in a pink room, even if it is of a dark pink shade. I’m not that girlie. So, its going to be a pretty purple and I’ll decorate with fairies and mystical things. I want a retreat from reality and into a world that will be a muse to creative thought as I drift into sleep. I have a nice space for my…

Ugh, there are times when early to rise sucks the hair off elephant balls. Yes, I’m awake and can’t get back to sleep. Its way to early to be awake, I know this because I’m grouchy and the sun isn’t even up yet. Bleh!I had this weird dream that I rented a Britney Spears movie. Maybe that nightmare is keeping me up. It must be moving that is making me anxious. I’m really excited about getting my new place, its kinda scary making a decision to own a place when I’ve moved every year of my life since I was 7 years old. I’m trying to settle and nest instead of being the fuck-it-I’m-moving nomad of the past. Time to grow up and be in one place for more than a year. Yesterday I played strip poker! Woohoo! Ok, I didn’t win but everyone was nekid in the end. I kept telling jokes and being my silly self. PLEASE don’t ask me for relationship advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whew, that’s better. Seriously though, I know some of you are reaching out but consider exactly “who” you are asking.
